On behalf of the 2026 American Chesapeake Club National Field Trial Specialty Committee, we are thrilled to welcome you to this year’s event. Our committee is composed of dedicated ACC Members, seasoned handlers, and passionate volunteers who spend months preparing to make this specialty an unforgettable experience for every participant and spectator.
Whether you are a veteran of the field or joining us for your very first national event, our goal is to provide a supportive, competitive, and high-energy environment that truly celebrates the versatility and power of our breed. We are here to ensure the event runs smoothly, from the first whistle to the final ribbon, and to foster a community where stories are shared and lifelong friendships are forged.
The 2026 Field Trial Specialty will be held on the Western Kentucky Wildlife Area in Grahamville Kentucky, September 22-24, 2026. The Wildlife Area is a premier Retriever Training area near Paducah, KY and is the area used for many field trial, hunt tests, and HRC events including THREE National Retriever Championships (including 2026), Master Hunt Tests, and HRC Grands. To enter the event and preview the premium, we will be using Entry Express
In addition to the NFTS, there is an all-breed field trial on the grounds Thursday-Saturday prior to the Specialty and several all-breed trials within driving distance the weekend following the Specialty. All these events will be listed on Entry Express.
Training areas prior to the NFTS are being solicited and will also be listed as they become identified.
